Adebola Dele-Michael, MD is a Board Certified dermatologist who specializes in many different cosmetic procedures, including the SculpSure® body sculpting. The doctor serves the residents of several New York City communities including Midtown West.
The SculpSure® procedure eliminates fat cells in such a way that they do not return or regenerate themselves. Lasers are used to heat fat cells in targeted areas that are normally very hard to reach with exercise and other types of therapy. The laser heats the fat cells until they reach a point of destruction. Over the next few months, the targeted fat cells will be broken down and eliminated by the body. Treatments last approximately 25 minutes. To achieve maximum results, most patients will need more than one treatment. SculpSure® can effectively tighten and tone the skin in hard to reach areas of the body.
Most laser procedures, including SculpSure® can produce side effects. Even non-invasive procedures can cause surface reactions. Redness, tingling, mild skin irritation, and tenderness to the touch are common side effects that are associated with the SculpSure® procedure. The procedure may also cause mild inflammation. Most of the side effects that result from this type of procedure are short-lived and will only last for a few hours after the procedure. Side effects that result from the SculpSure® should be reported to the physician who performed the procedure so they can be noted for future reference.
SculpSure® procedures can begin to produce results in as little as six weeks. Final results can be seen in as little as 12 weeks. The SculpSure® procedure is designed to permanently destroy fat cells so that they do not regenerate. Areas like the hips, abdomen, and thighs can be hard to exercise causing fat deposits to build up. SculpSure® procedures permanently destroy fat deposits and allow the body to break them down and flush them away. If patients live a healthy lifestyle and maintain an ideal body weight, the results of a SculpSure® procedure last indefinitely. Working with a doctor to manage a person's weight may help them to establish healthy patterns and habits that prevent weight gain.
